February 12, 2009 Today I began working on the boards and started the gessoing process.  I added a layer of gelatin solution to both front and back of the panels which my carpenter Paul Conklin of York prepared beautifully and perfectly with much attention and care.  My hands are a bit sore from the various works I do, but I will not let that bother me.  I offer it up for you and whoever the Lord will to grant the grace to.

Today, gratefully and gladly I responded to Fr. James’ invitation to come to Sacred Heart church in New Jersey and talk to his parishioners and friends of Lyndhurst during Lent.  I will give one on March 11 in Rochester, NY at St. Andrew’s church and will go to Sacred Heat church in New Jersey on Many 27.  The Lord knows what he wants and when he wants it. ”…I am better and more comfortable at painting sacred arts, writing icons and talking/sharing about the God who is loving and is everything to us than being a good business person.  So I am grateful that the Lord used my friend Elaine who called out for your attention to the hidden corner of the Abbey giftshop where I was sharing with a couple of friends the new icons of Sts. Joseph and John the Baptist I just finished.”

Yes, my Lord and my God, I will go wherever you send me and say whatever your spirit inspires me.  Please keep me close by your side and help me stay united to your will always in your Sacred Heart.  Amen.

April 2, 2009 After my talk at St. Andrew's parish in Rochester, New York, Fr. Mike talked about the posibility of commisioning me to paint a crucifix for the parish. God's willing, I will follow up on his offer.
