We are made in God's own image
The Marian Youth

In our heart where God dwells, we are being reminded constantly by him how precious and loved we are as his children. However, because of our imperfection, weaknesses and sins as well as the many temptations in the world, we often compromise for less than being fully what God made us to be: our very unique self in his own image.

With the Blessed Mother's tender loving care, reminder and intercession for special graces especially as we walk this journey together (being mindful of our brothers' and sisters' differences and needs as God's precious children) we strive to learn and hope to discover and live out our hidden virtues, our privileges as well as our dignity being the children of the Heavenly Father.

"The vestments are blessed. As the Holy water (from Lourdes and from the Jordan River) made their marks and penetrated throughout the fabrics, in silent prayer I could hear Rev. Father John Eudes' words praying for the children, that they become who they are made to be, and that their desire to please God will please and glorify him. With these vestments, accompanied by the Icon of Our Lady of Loving Compassion and the recitation of the Rosary, The Marian Children will uniquely give special glory and honor to God."

"These vestments are designed and made in prayer, specially for the Marian Children. Providence and inspiration guided my every step. Every shape and color signifies and stands for the things our Catholic faith teaches us...

1. While the circular shape stands for creation, wholeness, perfection, unity, eternity, etc, the triangular shape stands for the Trinitarian God who unites fully and intimately with all that was created.

2. The cross-shaped vestment itself is a constant reminder of our Christian faith living the life of the Cross gained for us by the Lord's love for his heavenly Father who loves the world unconditionally.

3. The scarf carries the different virtues such as obedience, meekness, humility, patience, endurance, etc. It also emphasizes the need for our child-like trust in God, and its triangular shape, again, takes us back to our privilege and dignity to be children of the perfect, Three Person, one God!

4. The long ultramarine blue ribbon is to be tied at the waist over the front end of the cross-shape garment. The ribbon signifies our imitation of her virtues in devoting her whole life to God and to do his will readily.

5. The different shades of blue and white stand for peace, unity, purity, etc, and they are also to honor the Immaculate Mother of the Lord Jesus.

"These garments are part of walking this particular journey and will be worn by the Marian Children". They are meant to act as constant reminders of whom The Marian Children are; of what they stand for; of what they desire and strive to be: like the Blessed Virgin Mary who is immaculate, full of virtues, uniquely blessed and chosen by God for the salvation and redemption of all mankind. "

Please bless us, guide our every step and as always, may your will for us be fulfilled, Lord! Amen.
