PRAYER, REFLECTION AND DISCERNMENT
Greetings in the Lord and in his Blessed Mother!
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
May God's love and peace be with you always!
Welcome to The Marian Children ministry and thank you for visiting us. Please check out our other links concerning this ministry in which all are welcome to contribute and join us in whatever ways God calls you to.
For those of us who are questioning and considering, please pray, meditate and ponder on it to see whether the Lord is calling you here. We would be glad to answer any question you may have. In faith our Blessed Mother made her choice, and we are ever grateful to the Lord for that!
If indeed you are called, will you say "YES" and will you "PERSEVERE"?
Some of you may think being called "The Marian Children" and being "The Marian Helpers" seems to be rather boring and not so cool, while others may think it is either too difficult or too idealistic! The answer I would give you is to listen attentively to your heart. God will give you the answer you need to hear. If he calls you, he will give you the grace to find great joy and peace in doing this. He will give you many opportunities to learn and to grow to be the best that you can be, but as always, it is not without carrying the noble cross of the Savior. However, whether you say "YES" or "NO", you (as does each of us) will have many crosses to bear during your journey on earth. Why not choose to carry the best ones, which will help to make you a saint? Before you go on, here is a fatherly advice and a sincere reminder from the
spiritual father, Rev. John Eudes, the retired Abbot of Genesee Abbey monastery:"The early Christians gathered to support one another and lived their faith. It is by praying together, sharing and meditating that they discovered what seemed to be boring at first opened into a fresh consciousness of fuller humanity..."
We are made in God's own image as his children. Don't underestimate and limit your power, your potential, your value, your dignity, and your call to holiness. Sometimes, you feel bored about something it is because you don't see deeply enough its worth and its value as Rev. Father J.E. pointed out. He also shared:
"Or perhaps, you have too low an estimate of your dignity and potential; therefore, you feel you are not up to the demands of living in keeping with your best self. There are times when the burdens of a dedicated life seem too heavy to everyone. But trusting in God and having faith in His love and grace can make it possible. Such a life of faith becomes in time a source of joy that will overcome what our weak nature shrinks from.
Dare to live by faith in our Lord; dare to believe in yourself for He has entrusted much to you! The most challenging but most rewarding is to serve God with the whole of one's self. By His grace you can do it! You will discover your potential only if you try."
SO, WILL YOU TRY?
