The Marian Children at Sunday Mass
Flower offering by Miss Charlotte Keating. We thank you, and may the Lord and his Blessed Mother continue to bless,
to strengthen and to take good care of you in all, body, soul, spirit and mind. Amen.

Wow! What an edifying experience! Before I go on sharing it, I would like to thank Donna Falkner for inviting us to St. Lucy's. I am grateful for her enthusiasm and caring in making sure I had all of the questions answered (the Lord knows I have so many :-) ) and all the help I needed. Then the Lord sent Barb McAdoo who is a wonderful and pleasant person to work with. (I thank you.) She did a great job organizing the children and the youth. Again, I thank Fr. Michael Brown for his support and blessing. I thought it was wonderful how he shared with the community about what the children were doing and encouraged people to support them with the recitation of the Rosary after mass. I thank my Italian grandparents, Tom and Marge Melizzi for all their help which made our short visit to St. Lucy's an enjoyable and blessed one. I thank those who stayed after mass to support the children: the faithful parishioners, the children's families and their friends.

Last but not least, I praise the Lord for the children (thank you all), for their great and generous response to the ministry, for their eagerness, enthusiasm and cheerful spirits. They sure brightened up and made our day!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee; blessed art thou among Women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Since the time the ministry of promoting "The Marian Children" came about, our visit to St. Lucy's officially is the fourth and the last stop of the Marian Icon on tour in 2004. I have learned and witnessed so much the many good gifts given to our Church through these young, talented, innocent and joyful spirits. The Children and the youth have so much to offer. I could see and sense their potential, enthusiasm, their joy and pride in taking parts in this ministry being The Marian Children. O how I wish and pray that our Mother Church will inspire the Church leaders, parishes and those who teach and watch over these children, to acknowledge their gifts, to give them opportunities to share and to participate in church activities where the parish can and will support, pass down the Tradition and nourish them especially at Sunday Mass. It seems to me that is a best way for them to learn how to appreciate, to study the Tradition, to take charge in doing little things to contribute and most of all, to live their faith personally and take it more seriously. Together with the children from other parishes, the spirit of St. Lucy's children sure inspired me to pray for that.

When the time came to recite the rosary, I looked around the church and was amazed and touched to see the crowd consisted of mainly children and their parents. And of course, there are a few faithful members of the church whose presence always helps strengthen my faith whenever I see them.
Dear parents, I am sure the Lord and his Blessed Mother are very pleased with you for being such a support and an encouragement to your children. I wish and pray that there are more of us out there like you! May the Lord bless you all and always give you the grace to perceive his love and faithfulness for you always in everything you do. Amen.

Lord! We are not worthy to receive you. But only say the word, and we shall be healed. Amen.

The community expressed their appreciation to Fr. Brown for his prayers and blessings to them throughout the years at the end of mass. They asked his permission to bless and pray over him on Priests' Sunday.
Above, far right: The Marian Children extended their hands over Fr. Brown.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYER. FOR THOSE OF US WHO HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING OUR JOURNEY THROUGH PRAYER AND THROUGH THE CYBERSPACE, WE LOOK FORWARD TO JOURNEY WITH YOU AGAIN IN MAY 2005.
BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOURS ON THE FEAST OF ALL SAINTS!

O BLESSED MOTHER, PLEASE INTERCEDE FOR US ALWAYS.
AND MAY HIS WILL FOR US BE FULFILLED! AMEN.
