REQUIREMENTS OF THE HOST PARISH:

1. According to tradition and the role of Icons in religious art and Christian worship, it is preferred that the icon will be placed in the church where it visits, either near or in view of the Blessed Sacrament.

2. Parishioners will have a chance to pray in the presence of the icon when they attend Sunday masses. In addition, Minh would like the parishioners to help organize a special time, after the weekend of the visit, for a 20-30 minute informal sharing of the faith, following by praying the Rosary together (as mentioned above) before the Icon leaves the church.

Some parishes may want to integrate the recitation of the Rosary lead by "THE MARIAN CHILDREN" (perhaps only one decade) during their Sunday mass as that of St. Bridget's church in Rochester, NY.

3. Cards and prints of the Icon and other religious images will be available for sale to help with the ministry touring the Icon and the promotion of The Marian Children.

4. Talk/Slide Presenation (optional)
There is a one and a half hour talk/slide presentation about Minh's conversion story, given gift of painting icons and her ongoing journey with God, follow by a question/answer period. If interested please go to
http://www.ourladyofnewhelfta.com/contract/presentation.php for more details and information.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS NOT ABOUT MINH AND HER ICON, AND THIS IS NOT JUST AN EVENT. RATHER, IT IS ABOUT US SUPPORTING ONE ANOTHER LIVING OUR CATHOLIC FAITH, AND IT IS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF OUR CHURCH - OUR YOUTH AND OUR CHILDREN WHO NEED TO BE REMINDED, TAUGHT AND ENCOURAGED HOW TO APPRECIATE, TO VALUE AND TO LIVE A LIFE OF FAITH WITH TRUE HAPPINESS, GREAT PEACE AND EVERLASTING JOY IN GOD!

MAY THE SEEDS WE GROW TODAY BEAR MUCH FRUIT IN THE DAYS TO COME! AMEN.
